Academic Calendar
XIMB opens applications for two trimesters:

Trimester 1- Mid September to Mid December
Trimester 2- Mid December to Mid March
​
Exchange students are requested to stay until the end of the scheduled term.
Procedure for undertaking an academic term study at XIMB

The interested student should contact their University/Institute Office to check whether their University/Institute has signed an MOU with XIMB for allowing student exchange programmes.
​

In case the University/Institute, does not have a standing MOU, the student may request their Office to get in touch with XIMB International Relations Office by writing to chandra@ximb.ac.in.

In case the University/Institute is a standing Partner of XIMB for student international exchange programmes, the student may contact their concerned International Relations Office to send a request on their behalf to XIMB.

The Partner Institutes sends a request to XIMB for permitting a mutually agreed number of students for a specific academic term.

Upon confirmation from XIMB, interested students are required to fill an application form and mail the hard copy to the International Relations Office of XIMB along with photocopies of the following documents:
1. Proof of English
2. Letter of Support or No Objection Certificate (NOC)
3. 2 passport size photographs
4. 10th and 12th grade mark-sheets
5. Under graduation degree certificates along with mark-sheets
6. Statement of Purpose

Eligibility Criteria-Candidate should have attained a bachelor's degree of at least 3 years duration prior to admission.

Upon approval of the application, the original acceptance letter will be mailed to the partner institution and a soft copy will be emailed to the candidate. In addition, the acceptance letter details the duration and period of study along with the venue of stay. This helps the student to apply for a Visa.

The student will be email a list of the courses being offered once the student application is approved.

Visa

Foreign Nationals desirous of coming into India are required to possess a valid passport of their country and a valid Indian Visa.
​

There is no provision of 'Visa on Arrival' in India and no fee is charged for immigration facilities at the airports. Foreign passengers should ensure that they are in possession of valid Indian Visa before they start their journey to India.

The Consular Passport and Visa (CPV) Division of the Ministry of External Affairs is responsible for issuance of Indian visas to the foreign nationals for their visit for various purposes. This facility is granted through various Indian missions abroad.

Visa fees are non-refundable and subject to change without notice. The High Commission reserves the right on granting and deciding type/duration of visa irrespective of the fees tendered at the time of making application. Granting of Visa does not confer the right of entry to India and is subject to the discretion of the Immigration Authorities.

All international students will need a visa to study in India. Visa processing usually takes 1-2 months from the time of application. The students are expected to take care of all visa formalities. Please contact the Indian embassy in your home country for further details.
